Your day could include analyzing data, reviewing loan documentation or processes, working with a business partner to understand workflow, or helping resolve an operational issue. You may spend part of the day working independently on a project and another part collaborating with teammates or participating in meetings. As you become familiar with the organization, you’ll have opportunities to ask questions, suggest ideas, and take ownership of pieces of your work. By the end of the summer, you’ll have a better understanding of how lending operations teams support agricultural clients and partners and how thoughtful processes, accurate information, and strong collaboration contribute to a successful lending organization.

A typical day:

  • Assist with reporting, data analysis, and identifying trends or opportunities for improvement.
  • Help review, document and improve business processes, procedures, and workflows.
  • Participate in projects designed to improve the customer or team member experience.

  • Research industry standards and best practices for lending operations processes, key metrics, and reporting.
  • Assist with other operational priorities that arise throughout the summer.
  • Present project findings, recommendations, or results to team members and leaders.

The skills and experience we prefer you have:

  • Working towards a degree in ag business, business administration, finance, accounting, economics, or data management.
  • Solid organizational, interpersonal, communication, problem solving skills, and time management required.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and willing to learn new systems and processes.
  • Enjoy working with information, solving problems, and finding ways to make processes better.
  • Comfortable working independently while also collaborating with a team.
