Legend Biotech

Summer Intern (Undergraduate & Master’s Students)

Locations: Various U.S. Locations (including Bridgewater, NJ and Somerset, NJ, Philadelphia and Raritan, NJ)
Duration: Summer 2027 (May-August 2027)
Schedule: Full-Time, 40 Hours per Week
Compensation: $25-$30 per Hour
Eligibility: Current Undergraduate Juniors/Seniors, Master’s Students, or students returning to school following the internship

Internship Opportunities

Students may be placed within one of the following functional areas:

Technical Operations (Manufacturing & Operations)

Support the production and delivery of life-changing cell therapies by contributing to process improvements, operational excellence initiatives, manufacturing support, and cross-functional projects.

Research & Development (R&D)

Assist scientific teams in advancing next-generation therapies through research, experimentation, data analysis, literature reviews, and innovation-focused projects.

Technical Development

Support process development, scale-up activities, analytical development, and technology transfer efforts that help bring innovative therapies from the laboratory to patients.

Quality Assurance (QA)

Contribute to quality systems, compliance initiatives, documentation review, inspections readiness activities, and continuous improvement projects supporting GMP operations.

Medical Affairs

Support medical strategy, scientific communications, publication planning, evidence generation, and cross-functional projects that advance patient and healthcare provider education.

Commercial & Marketing

Gain exposure to commercial strategy, marketing, market access, business analytics, and commercialization initiatives supporting the launch and growth of innovative therapies. 

Finance

Work on financial planning, forecasting, business analysis, reporting, accounting, procurement, and strategic initiatives that support business decision-making.

Information Technology (IT)

Support digital transformation initiatives, data analytics, cybersecurity, infrastructure, business applications, artificial intelligence solutions, and technology-driven process improvements.

What You’ll Do

As a Summer Intern, you may:

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support business-critical projects
  • Conduct research, analysis, and data-driven problem solving
  • Develop presentations, reports, dashboards, and recommendations for stakeholders
  • Participate in project planning and execution activities
  • Present findings and project outcomes to leadership teams
  • Collaborate with peers across multiple functions and locations
  • Attend networking, mentorship, and professional development events
  • Gain exposure to the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry

Qualifications

Required

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited university
  • Returning to school following completion of the internship
  • Strong academic performance and demonstrated leadership potential
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Preferred

  • Previous internship, research, leadership, or project experience
  • Interest in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, manufacturing, business, finance, or technology
  • Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, and commitment to continuous learning
