What You’ll Do

- Inspire & Educate: Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate activities that foster social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
- Lead the Classroom: Coach and mentor teaching assistants and classroom volunteers to build a supportive, high-performing team.
- Connect with Families: Build strong relationships with parents through regular updates, informal chats, and conferences.
- Maintain Quality & Safety: Ensure a clean, safe, and healthy environment while meeting center policies, state regulations, and Head Start standards.
- Keep Track & Grow: Maintain accurate records and pursue continuous personal and professional development.
💪 Physical & Professional Requirements
- Strong communication skills, basic computer literacy, high energy, and a team-first mindset.
- Ability to actively engage with children—including walking, kneeling, bending, squatting, and physical movement throughout the day.
- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
Requirements
🎯 Key Qualifications (Must Have)
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a closely related field.
- Licensure: Valid Wisconsin Teaching License (DPI).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional early childhood/childcare experience.
- Certifications & Clearances: CPR/First Aid certification, background check clearance, and health screening.
Nice to Have
💡 Bonus Points If You Have:
- Experience with early intervention or special education services.
- Familiarity with Head Start standards and early childhood assessment tools.
