Help Veterans and Families Access Critical Services
At VOA Illinois, the Intake Service Coordinator serves as the primary point of entry for individuals seeking support through our programs. In this role, you’ll help veterans and their families connect to services, navigate resources, complete enrollment processes, and build a strong foundation for long-term success.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct intake assessments, screenings, and eligibility determinations.
- Guide participants through enrollment and onboarding processes.
- Connect individuals with VOA Illinois programs and community resources.
- Provide short-term service coordination and support for newly enrolled participants.
- Maintain accurate documentation in HMIS, EchoVantage, and other required systems.
- Collaborate with internal teams and community partners to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Utilize trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices in all participant interactions.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree or eligibility as a Mental Health Professional (MHP) under Illinois requirements.
- Experience in social services, behavioral health, housing services, case management, intake coordination, or related field.
- Experience with HMIS, EchoVantage, or similar electronic record systems.
- Strong communication, organization, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience supporting veterans, military-connected individuals, or vulnerable populations is a plus.
