Under direction and with independent professional responsibility, the Human Services Social Worker Master’s Degree positions in this class provide direct public social services to clients, dealing with complex individual and family problems, and acting as program and casework consultants to staff.

 

Minimum Qualifications

Either: A Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in social work.

Or: A Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a program that meets the education requirements for a Marriage and Family Therapist or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor license issued by the California Department of Consumer Affairs Board of Behavioral Science Examiners.

Or: Current enrollment in the final semester of a Master’s program at an accredited college or university leading to a Master’s Degree in social work or a related Master’s Degree that meets the education requirements for a Marriage and Family Therapist or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor license issued by the California Department of Consumer Affairs Board of Behavioral Science Examiners.
