As an Army Fellow, will you perform the following duties in a progressive learning environment:

  • Utilize a wide range of human resources practices, regulations, and precedents to assist in providing human resources advisory and technical services on organizational functions and work practices.
  • Serves as the first point of contact for employees and supervisors seeking information on routine, non-precedent-setting labor management and employee relations (LMER) rules, procedures, and rights.
  • Assist senior specialists by gathering, organizing, and analyzing documentation, evidence, and timelines for basic employee relations cases (e.g., performance issues, attendance problems, and minor misconduct).
  • Conduct a wide range of negotiation procedures and techniques, advocacy, mediation, interest-based bargaining, and other problem-solving approaches to resolve problems.
  • Receives, logs, and performs initial administrative reviews of formal and informal grievances, unfair labor practice (ULP) charges, and labor relations requests.

Conditions of employment

  • Must sign a mobility agreement if selected.
  • Must sign an Army Fellows Participant Agreement if selected.
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
