The job of Special Agent offers qualified men and women a challenging and fulfilling career. The U.S. Secret Service recruits’ personnel of the highest caliber to carry out its integrated missions of investigation and protection. While the executive protection mission is known worldwide, the U.S. Secret Service’s investigative mission continues to grow due to developments in technology. Special Agents investigate violations of laws relating to financial crimes such as credit card and access device fraud, as well as computer-based attacks on the nation’s banking and telecommunications. In the field of protection Secret Service Special Agents develop and implement innovative strategies to mitigate threats to our nation’s leaders.

The U.S. Secret Service is actively recruiting recent college graduates who meet the following criteria:

• Attained Superior Academic Achievement (3.0 or higher) while in college

• Currently have no to little professional work experience; however, possess quantifiable experience for the position gained through non-career activities

• Able to successfully pass the application process

You are not guaranteed your preferred post of duty. Your initial post of duty will be determined at the time of the final job offer and will be based on the operational needs of the US Secret Service. You must reside within a 50-mile radius of desired location upon graduation of training.

Interested candidates in their last semester of a college program are encouraged to begin the application process for STAR. A final transcript from an accredited school confirming degree conferral and a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 is required prior to a final job offer.
