About the Role:

Playbook is launching a new content initiative dedicated to helping sports business owners grow and thrive. We’re looking for a Content Writer & Social Media Intern to help us tell those stories — through blog posts, social content, and practical, high-value insights that our audience can actually use.

We use AI to speed up research and drafting, but every piece we publish is human-edited and held to a high bar. Nothing goes out unless it’s genuinely useful and genuinely good — every time.

What You’ll Do:

– Write blog posts and articles aimed at sports business owners, covering growth strategies, industry trends, and practical operating advice

– Draft and schedule social media content across our channels

– Use AI tools to accelerate research and first drafts, then edit and refine everything to a human, high-quality standard

– Collaborate with the team to develop a content calendar and story ideas

– Help shape Playbook’s voice as a go-to resource for sports and recreation businesses

What We’re Looking For:

– Strong writing skills — clear, engaging, and adaptable across blog and social formats

– Comfort using AI writing tools as an aid, not a crutch

– Genuine interest in sports business, youth/rec sports, or the sports tech space

– Detail-oriented, with a high bar for quality and polish

– Based in or able to commute to Hoboken, NJ; open to a flexible in-office/remote schedule

Why Playbook:

Hoboken is emerging as a hub for sports and recreation technology, and Playbook is at the center of it. Join us as we build the go-to content resource for sports business owners looking to grow.
