The City of San Antonio is seeking inquisitive data driven candidates to apply for our Compensation Analyst position. 

In this position you will be responsible for Building Rewarding Futures by exercising a high level of attention to detail by routinely reviewing job class specifications and conducting job studies, job site visits, job analysis sessions, and incumbent interviews regarding job content.

Conducting labor market surveys to determine proper salary levels for employees. 

Researching and analyzing data to obtain information for formulating projects, plans, surveys, reports, strategies, forecasts, and trends.

Contribute to the preparation and production of the City’s Pay Plan.

Preparing reports, program plans, and statistical analysis utilizing a personal computer and associated MS Windows-based software applications (e.g. Word, Excel).

As an Analyst, you will prepare evaluations for classification action determinations in response to reclassification or regrade requests.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with preferable coursework in Human Resources, Public Administration, Business, Mathematics, or other related field.
  • Valid Class ‘C’ Texas Driver’s License.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of SAP.
  • Knowledge of statistical methodology.
  • Professional working experience with Microsoft Excel.

Applicant Information:

  • Unless otherwise stated, applicants are permitted to substitute two years of related full-time experience for one year of higher education or one year of related higher education for two years of experience in order to meet the minimum requirements of the job. One year of full-time experience is defined as 30 or more hours worked per week for 12 months. One year of higher education is defined as 30 credit hours completed at an accredited college or university.
