Biweekly Hours: 80.00

Shift: Variable (0700-1530, 0900-1730, 1100-1930, 1500-2330, 2300-0730), rotating weekends/holidays

Position Summary: 

 

  • Performs various duties in the operating room. 
  • Maintains the cleanliness and efficiency of operating room services. 
  • Performs limited neonate through geriatric patient care services. 
  • Orients employees to equipment and procedures. 
  • Serves as a role model to other operation room technicians and students. 
  • Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or passage of a high school equivalency exam.
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.
  • Possesses and maintains certification as a surgical technologist (CST) from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
  • Current AHA Basic Life Support certification or obtains within 90 days of hire.
  • Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds

  • None

Physical Requirements:

  • May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day.
  • May need to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
  • Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
  • Ability to push/pull 350 pounds.
