Human Services – Account Technician

 

Are you detail orientated with the ability to multitask, enjoy making purchases, and have the ability to remain organized? If so, Monroe County’s Finance Department might have the job for you! We’re hiring a full-time Account Technician. Successful candidates will have a two-year degree in an Accounting or business-related field, with a bachelor’s degree being preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is required. A minimum of two years of financial experience in business, industry, or government (county or municipal) is preferred. Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired will also be considered.

 

Our Account Technician provides fiscal support services to the Human Services Department programs and to the Finance Department. This position will purchase items as authorized by the Program Supervisors in accordance with purchasing policies while compiling documentation for purchases made on the agency’s credit cards. This position is also responsible for troubleshooting and resolving concerns related to items ordered and assists with preparing reports for internal staff to assist with managing programs. 

Starting salary for this position is: $21.09 hourly depending on qualifications and experience.
