  • Teaching – Elementary and Secondary (M.A.T.)

If you discover that your goal is teaching – and specifically teaching in an elementary or secondary school classroom – then our Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) is the program for you. The M.A.T. offers professional development courses that cover a broad range of educational issues, theories, and methods, all leading to student teaching clinical placements and preparation for NJ state certification in the initial certification program. Several certification tracks are available including elementary (grades K-6), secondary (grades 7-12), and subject specific programs for grades K-12 (music, art, Spanish, and Physical Education/Health). Additionally, a Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TSD) or English as a Second Language (ESL) endorsement can be added to these programs.

  • Speech-Language Pathology (M.S.Ed.)

Embark on a rewarding career as a speech-language pathologist, a field with high demand and a profound impact on people’s lives. Our M.S.Ed. in Speech-Language Pathology program provides comprehensive training to diagnose and treat/manage a wide range of speech, language, communication, and feeding and swallowing disorders.

Our curriculum seamlessly integrates classroom instruction with experiential learning. You will develop essential skills in observing, planning, and implementing treatment plans for diverse patient populations. You’ll complete a minimum of 400 hours of supervised clinical practicum, gaining hands-on experience in our on-site clinic and various off-campus settings. All training is supervised by experienced, New Jersey-licensed speech-language pathologists, ensuring you receive expert guidance throughout your education.

  • Education (M.Ed.) – English as a Second Language (ESL)

Enhance your marketability as an educator as you focus your studies on language acquisition theories, methods of instruction, and diverse fieldwork experiences. Choose one of multiple endorsement options for second language teaching and develop your own unique style of educating to assist students in achieving their learning goals. Access hands-on experiences that connect classroom theory and real-world practice and are supervised by experienced faculty.

  • Literacy (M.S.Ed.)

Expand your marketability and skills as a classroom teacher through an in-depth focus on the reading and writing processes of preschool through 12th grade students. Take advantage of opportunities for hands-on, clinical experience and chances to apply textbook knowledge in the field under the supervision of expert specialists. Our program prepares you for the New Jersey Reading Specialist certification.
