The Global Understanding Project is a community-based effort by faculty members, staff, and students at Monmouth University to encourage and promote activities and awareness concerning global issues.

Through academic programs, field experiences, institutional relationships and exchanges, scholarship, and research, the participants in the Global Understanding Project will help fulfill that part of the University's broad mission of pursuing excellence and diversity in an increasingly interdependent world.

The Global Understanding Project was begun by an interested group of faculty members, staff, and students in the spring of 2001.
