“Advancing Affirmative Clinical Social Work Practice with LGBTQIA+ Communities in Critical Times” is a timely and practice-centered exploration of how clinical social workers can provide ethical, culturally responsive, and justice-oriented care amid rising sociopolitical challenges affecting LGBTQIA+ communities.
Designed for clinicians, supervisors, educators, and students, this event challenges social workers to deepen their advocacy roles, engage in policy-informed practice, and build sustaining partnerships with LGBTQIA+ communities during critical times of uncertainty and resistance.
At its core, “Advancing Affirmative Clinical Social Work Practice with LGBTQIA+ Communities in Critical Times” is both a clinical guide and a call to action—inviting practitioners to uphold the profession’s ethical mandate while fostering healing, resilience, and offers actionable strategies for navigating complex ethical dilemmas while maintaining a commitment to dignity, self-determination, and social justice.
