On Monday, Oct. 8, Lisa Gitelman, Ph.D., will lead the talk: “Time Travel, Impeachment, Or, Four Reasons Why PDFs Are Everywhere” from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. in Wilson Hall, Room 104.
Gitelman, a professor of English and media, culture and communication at New York University, will be discussing one specific moment in the history of online publication, and arguing for a new thread in the history of what we call “print.”
Sponsored by the Wayne D. McMurray Endowed Chair in the Humanities, this lecture is a part of the annual lecture series “Ink and Electricity: Advancing Liberal Learning in the Digital Age.” The series is now in its sixth year.
This event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be offered beginning at 4:30 p.m.
