Pursuant to the December 2021 Attorney General Guideline “Promoting Diversity in Law Enforcement Recruiting and Hiring,” the Monmouth University Police Department is committed to doing all that we can to hiring staff who reflect the community we serve. Per Monmouth University data concerning student population which was taken from the 2023 Fact Book, Monmouth University’s population is 69% White, 16% Hispanic, 5% Black, 3% Asian,2% Two or more races, 3% Other/Unknown, and 2% Non-resident alien. During 2023, the Monmouth University Police Department had a total of 20 police officers: 65% were white, 25% were Hispanic, 5% were black and 5% were two or more races.
