Henni Kantor Kessler & John H. Kessler Stadium
Description
The Henni Kantor Kessler & John H. Kessler Stadium serves as the home field for Monmouth’s football, lacrosse, and track & field programs. This $16-million sports ground offers seating for up to 4,200 patrons and includes a full-concourse with concession stands. History
Monmouth’s prior home field, Kessler Field, bore a similar name to this location. Both stadium and field memorialized substantial donations from former University trustee Henni Kessler ’68 and trustee emeritus John Kessler ’69. Throughout the school’s history, the couple contributed to Monmouth both financially and athletically—Henni led the school’s cheerleading team as captain, while John played for the baseball team. The Hawks played on Kessler Field from Sept. 1993 until Oct. 2016.

Since 2007, “So Sweet A Cat” Field has served as the home turf for Monmouth University’s field hockey team.
History
The “So Sweet a Cat” name originally belonged to a prize-winning horse owned by Jane Freed, an alumna whose financial contribution made the field possible.

OceanFirst Bank Center
Description
The OceanFirst Bank Center is a key destination for University sports—inside, Monmouth’s Division I Basketball and Track & Field teams have competed against their rival schools. The center’s facilities serve all of Monmouth’s athletic teams and the campus at large with its fitness center, 6-lane indoor track, and 4,100-seat arena. The building also houses the University Store, where shoppers will find textbooks, studying materials, and a selection of Monmouth-branded merchandise.
History
Since 2009, this facility has hosted an array of events including athletic matchups, live concerts, and university commencements. Previously known as the Multipurpose Activity Center (or the MAC for short), the facility took on its new name in 2016 after a $4-million agreement between the school and OceanFirst Bank.
