    Robert (Bob) Kim is a writer, consultant, and leading expert on education law and policy in the United States. A former civil rights attorney, his most recent book is Elevating Equity and Justice: Ten U.S. Supreme Court Cases Every Teacher Should Know (Heinemann, 2020). He is also the co-author of Education and the Law, 5thed. and Legal Issues in Education: Rights and Responsibilities in U.S. Public Schools Today (West Academic Publishing, 2019 & 2017). His column, “Under the Law,” appears monthly in Phi Delta Kappan, a professional journal for educators.

    We are excited to announce the Women in Leadership Symposium on April 20, 2021 from 3 to 5 PM (zoom) aimed to reach all current or aspirational leaders/employees in P-12 education, higher education, and business. This FREE symposium is brought to you in partnership with New Jersey Association of School Administrators, Monmouth University, and Equitable.

    The focus of this year’s symposium is on wellness and will feature author and educational advocate Tina H. Boogren, Ph.D. Boogren is the author of numerous books centered on her passion areas of quality instruction, coaching, mentoring, and wellness and hosts the weekly podcast “Self-Care for Educators with Dr. Tina H. Boogren.” A panel of multidisciplinary professionals will provide insights and strategies to help professionals integrate wellness activities into their professional lives.

    Liberty Science Center’s all-live signature show, Wonders of the Night Sky, is an exhilarating 35-minute experience that explores our stars and beyond. See the galaxy as it appears to the naked eye, as well as through the eyes of NASA’s robot probes, of the Hubble Space Telescope, and arrays of telescopes from around our planet. A portion of the show is set aside to include the latest breaking news in astronomy and aerospace, taking full advantage of Liberty Science Center’s new Digistar 6 full dome system, which allows seamless passage from the night sky to another planet to the heart of another galaxy.

    The symposium assembles experts from a wide range of disciplines in the government, nonprofit, academic, community, and private sectors to examine topics at the intersection of human rights and the environment and propose solutions for the future.
