Chaoyin Cai received her DMA at UW-Madison. After graduating from Shanghai Conservatory of Music, she continued her music study at Cleveland Institute of Music and received her MM and Artist diploma. She has won numerous prestigious awards including first prize at 6th Iowa international piano competition, the 3rd prize at Bosendorfer International Piano Competition, along with the 3
rd prize at the Russian Music International Piano Competition held in San Jose, California. She was presented in her Symphony Space debut recital in New York City as a winner of Frederic Chopin Piano competition.
She has appeared as a guest soloist with many symphony orchestras including CIM orchestra at Severance Hall and Sioux City Symphony Orchestra at Orpheum Theatre. Chaoyin has also attended many music festivals and has collaborated with other instrumentalists at many contemporary concerts. As a soloist, she made concert tours in China, Poland, Austria, Germany, Italy and United States.
Hailed for her effortless virtuosity and mature interpretation, Ms. Cai received positive remarks from different newspapers, such as The Plain Dealer and Mercury News.
