Favorite Math/Stats Memory
My favorite math memory was my finals week of my senior fall semester. I had taken three math classes that semester and it felt amazing to present all my projects that I had been working so hard on all semester long.
Why Did You Become a Math/Stats Major?
I became a Mathematics major with a concentration in statistics because I had always loved math and wanted to continue my education. I wanted to challenge myself and take the path less taken. Also, the paycheck isn’t bad either.
What Are Your Plans for Using Math/Stats after Graduation?
I got a job offer before I graduated for a full-time position as a decision science analyst for a global strategic pharmaceutical company. I would also, eventually in the future, like to become an adjunct professor or a tutor.
Advice for Incoming Students?
The best advice I would give to incoming students is not to stress too much, but always get your work done. Enjoy the weekends and spend time with your friends! Also, never be scared to ask questions and get help.
Anything Else You Would Like to Share?
The professors in the math department are the reason that I was able to graduate and become successful. They challenge and truly care for their students!
