What is the Disney College Program?

The Disney College Program is a paid internship where participants work the equivalent of a full-time schedule, so they must have full work availability, which includes working days, nights, weekends and holidays. This competitive internship program will allow you to apply classroom learning while networking with Disney professionals and gain valuable work experience within a global organization. Application Requirements:

In order to submit an application for the Disney College Program, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Students must be currently enrolled and taking classes at an accredited program or institution and have completed at least one semester OR have graduated within the past six months.
  • Meet Any School Requirements for Participation:
    Students also must meet any additional criteria their school requires for participation in our program. This may include G.P.A., grade level, and number of credit hours earned.
  • Be at least 18 years of age by the time the program begins
  • Possess Unrestricted Work Authorization:
    Participation in this program also requires unrestricted work authorization.

When does the Disney College Program take place?

Students interested in the Disney College Program will follow the steps below:

  • Interested students should visit disneycollegeprogram.com; then click the Apply Now link and complete the application.
  • If the application is accepted, the student will receive an email with a link asking the student to take the web-based interview. Please note: all applications are reviewed for candidates with a profile and experience that Disney believes will make them most successful in their program.
  • If the student is successful in the web-based interview, the student will receive an e-mail with an attached link asking them to register for a phone interview. This process allows the student to have the freedom to select the most optimal time in their schedule to participate in the phone interview.
  • The phone interview is the last stage of the interview process.
  • Students should periodically view their dashboard for updates concerning their application status.

What jobs are available?

Check out the full list of job descriptions. Each role offered through the Disney College Program provides a unique and diverse learning and working experience. However, all participants will have the opportunity to develop their communication and problem-solving skills, as well as work on their confidence and self-reliance. Most internships are 4 to 6 months in duration.

How do I get credit for the Disney Program?

How much credit you can earn while participating in the Disney College Program will be decided by your advisor. The best plan is to meet with your faculty advisor and discuss the educational components of the Disney College Program as well as your school’s guidelines for awarding internship credit. By working together to develop your learning plan; your faculty advisor can also assist you in choosing Disney College Program Education offerings that your school will recognize for college credit.

The answer to this question depends on a number of factors including the type of aid you have, whether or not you’re enrolled as a Monmouth University student during your internship, and many others. How is housing handled through the Disney College Program?

As part of the Disney College Program, participants live in housing complexes located near the Disneyland® Resort or the Walt Disney World® Resort. Amenities included in the housing costs include: a fully furnished apartment; kitchen appliances, utensils, and dishes; all utilities; maintenance; computer labs (Walt Disney World ® Resort in Florida only); high-speed internet; and cable.

Does the Disney Program fulfill my ExEd requirement?

Requirements for fulfilling your Monmouth University Experiential Education requirement varies by major. It is best to check with your faculty advisor or department chair to determine if the Disney program will meet your major’s ExEd requirement. Even if the Disney program does not meet your ExEd requirement, you may still be able to take the program for credits that may be awarded as free electives. It is best to check with you faculty advisor to determine the choices open to you, before you apply to the program.
