Youth Development Specialist – After School Support (AmeriCorps) – Mission Graduates
As a Youth Development Specialist with BAYAC AmeriCorps, you will support students through academic enrichment, literacy development, and positive youth programming. This position is hosted at Mission Graduates, a San Francisco-based organization dedicated to empowering youth and families on the path toward higher education and fulfilling careers.
AmeriCorps Members serving in this role will support daytime and after-school programming focused on improving literacy, strengthening student and family relationships, and creating engaging learning environments for youth.

Responsibilities
- Support daytime and after-school programming for elementary and middle school students
- Provide academic assistance and literacy support to students in individual and group settings
- Facilitate enrichment and cultural activities that promote student engagement and learning
- Build positive relationships with students and families to support student success and community connection
- Assist with classroom management and maintaining a safe, structured, and welcoming environment
- Support curriculum implementation and student learning activities
- Collaborate with program staff and school-day partners to support student academic growth
- Help organize program materials and prepare activity spaces for students
- Participate in family engagement activities and organization-wide events
- Attend trainings, meetings, and professional development opportunities
