Build Your Career the Clancy Way

At Clancy & Theys Construction Company, we’re committed to Building Careers, The Clancy Way. Our Summer Construction Internship Program offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working alongside experienced professionals who are passionate about developing the next generation of construction leaders.

This 12 week internship is designed to provide meaningful exposure to the commercial construction industry through real-world project experience. Interns work closely with our teams in project management, field operations, preconstruction, and safety, gaining a comprehensive understanding of how successful projects are planned, built, and delivered.

Throughout the summer, interns are immersed in active construction projects and have the opportunity to:

  • Assist with project planning, coordination, and execution
  • Participate in jobsite safety initiatives and learn industry best practices
  • Review drawings, specifications, schedules, and project documentation
  • Support project managers, superintendents, and field teams in day-to-day operations
  • Observe subcontractor coordination and quality control processes
  • Gain exposure to preconstruction planning, estimating, and budgeting activities
  • Attend training sessions and professional development opportunities
  • Build relationships with mentors and industry professionals across the company

At Clancy & Theys, our core values of Safety, Stewardship, Passion, and Collaboration guide everything we do. We believe the best learning happens when interns are trusted with meaningful responsibilities, encouraged to ask questions, share ideas, and contribute to the success of the team. Our culture is built on supporting one another, developing talent, and creating opportunities for growth.

By the end of the program, interns leave with a stronger understanding of the construction industry, valuable professional connections, and practical experience that helps prepare them for future career opportunities.
