Software Engineering Intern                                                                                           

General Dynamics Applied Physical Sciences (GD-APS) is seeking an intern candidate to support the design and development of software applications for several US Navy research and development programs. The successful candidate will work with an interdisciplinary team of scientists and engineers to develop innovative software solutions for important national-security applications. 

Some specific skills of interest include:

  • Proficient in C/C++ and Python for the Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Experience with Matlab and ability to convert Matlab code to C/C++
  • Working knowledge of embedded firmware development for microcontrollers, DSPs or FPGAs, is not required but preferred
  • Working knowledge of software middleware, such as Protocol Buffers
  • Working toward a BS or MS in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, mathematics, physics or related field
