Culinary Intern – Healthcare Foodservice

Are you passionate about culinary arts and interested in making an impact through food? Join Snapchef’s Hospital Culinary Internship Program and gain hands-on experience in a professional healthcare foodservice environment while learning from experienced chefs and culinary professionals.

As a Hospital Culinary Intern, you will gain exposure to the different areas of hospital foodservice operations, including the main kitchen, patient meal services, and retail dining areas. This internship provides a unique opportunity to understand how culinary teams support patient care through quality meals, exceptional service, and safe food practices.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist with food preparation, cooking, and meal production in the main kitchen
  • Gain experience preparing and assembling patient meals according to dietary guidelines
  • Support patient tray line operations while focusing on accuracy, quality, and service
  • Assist with retail foodservice areas, including cafés and dining services
  • Learn hospital food safety, sanitation, and healthcare dining standards
  • Work alongside chefs, foodservice professionals, and healthcare dining teams
