As a Hospital Culinary Intern, you will gain exposure to the different areas of hospital foodservice operations, including the main kitchen, patient meal services, and retail dining areas. This internship provides a unique opportunity to understand how culinary teams support patient care through quality meals, exceptional service, and safe food practices.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist with food preparation, cooking, and meal production in the main kitchen
- Gain experience preparing and assembling patient meals according to dietary guidelines
- Support patient tray line operations while focusing on accuracy, quality, and service
- Assist with retail foodservice areas, including cafés and dining services
- Learn hospital food safety, sanitation, and healthcare dining standards
- Work alongside chefs, foodservice professionals, and healthcare dining teams
