Job Title: Research Manager Intern (Unpaid)

Department: Public Policy 

Location: Remote 

Duration: 4 Months 

Compensation: Unpaid / Academic Credit Available 

What You’ll Be Doing

As a research manager intern, you will lead research efforts on policy issues, legislation, and political trends. As an intern for a non-profit, you will be guiding a small team to produce high-quality analysis that informs strategy, messaging, and advocacy efforts. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee in-depth research and analysis of policy issues, proposed legislation, and regulatory developments 
  • Develop policy briefs, proposals, and talking points, presenting findings and recommendations to leadership 
  • Track legislative activity, votes, and political developments 
  • Manage research files, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery across the teamMentor and coordinate the work of research interns supporting policy research 

Qualifications: 

  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills 
  • Familiarity with the U.S. legislative system 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead or coordinate the work of others 
  • Interest in public policy, research, economics, data analysis and political advocacy
