Python Developer to join our growing technology team. This individual will be instrumental in scaling and improving our mission-critical backend and cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate brings a track record of delivering secure, high-performance distributed systems on AWS.

 

  • Design and develop scalable backend services to support customer-facing and internal applications
  • Drive architectural decisions and lead efforts to evolve our backend stack for scale and maintainability
  • Implement and manage account systems and platform APIs with a focus on reliability and extensibility
  • Architect and implement data pipelines and infrastructure (AWS S3, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, Redshift, etc.)
  • Build and maintain serverless and event-driven systems (AWS Lambda, SQS, EventBridge, Amplify, API Gateway, etc.)
  • Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and observability of core services
  • Automate and optimize operational workflows to improve efficiency across the firm
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex performance bottlenecks and system issues in production
  • Stay current with AWS and Python ecosystem advancements and best practices

     

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • 5+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, Backend Engineer, or a related role
  • Advanced Python proficiency (3.10+), including modern features and async programming
  • Proven expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure and its inner workings (certification a plus)
  • Strong experience with data-intensive workloads and libraries such as Pandas, PyArrow, Polars, or similar in cloud-native or distributed settings
  • Solid understanding of event-driven architecture, message queues and service orchestration patterns
  • Proficiency in Linux environments, system administration, and shell scripting
  • Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams and functions
