Job Description
Restore Therapy is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our growing team. As a PTA at Restore Therapy, you will play a vital role in providing hands-on therapy services to clients under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of physical therapy treatment plans as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Provide therapeutic exercises and interventions to help clients improve functional abilities.
- Document client progress and observations accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the supervising Physical Therapist to modify treatment plans based on client needs and progress.
- Support clients in performing therapeutic exercises and activities.
- Educate clients and their families on home exercise programs and self-management strategies.
- Maintain a safe and clean treatment environment.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards in clinical practice and documentation.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and other relevant activities.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Physical Therapy Assisting
- Current or Pending New York State Physical Therapist Assistant license
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Passion for helping others and making a positive impact
