Position Summary:   

The University at Buffalo is searching for a Staff Assistant to provide daily administrative management support for the University Police Department. The Staff Assistant will perform functions including, but not limited to:

 

  • Serves as Administrative Assistant to Chief, Deputy Chiefs, and HR & Business Manager.
  • Supervise the University Police Lost & Found operations, assist with non-emergency phone inquiries, and conduct quarterly audits.
  • Assist with the monitoring of OTPS and PSR expenditures, including creating and reconciling electronic personnel and requisition transactions.
  • Coordinate daily staff scheduling, overtime tracking, accrual management, and biweekly timesheet processing.
  • Manage the distribution, collection, and analysis of departmental customer satisfaction surveys.
  • Assist student employees with onboarding documentation and process ePTF transactions.
  • Support monthly billing operations through Blue Services.
  • Compile and maintain information in compliance with accrediting agency policies and standards.
  • Provide administrative support to the Criminal Investigation Division as needed.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Associates degree required with 3 years of professional work experience. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft office suite, ability to multi-task and strong written/oral communication skills.

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
