Nonprofit Fundraising Intern

Many capable people face the “experience paradox”: employers want experience, but gaining it often depends on someone giving you a first opportunity. GlowUp ACS is a nonprofit that helps emerging professionals bridge that gap through meaningful, hands-on opportunities to develop practical skills, contribute to real projects, and gain experience they can apply throughout their careers.

We’re currently rebuilding after funding changes required us to scale back some of our programming. That makes this a unique time to join GlowUp ACS. Associate Interns can contribute directly to the systems, projects, and programs supporting our next stage of growth while gaining firsthand experience working within a small nonprofit where their contributions can have a visible impact.

Responsibilities

Research potential donors, grants, sponsors, and other funding opportunities.
Assist with maintaining organized records of fundraising prospects, outreach, and follow-up.
Support the preparation of donor communications, fundraising materials, and grant-related research.
Help brainstorm fundraising campaigns, partnerships, and community outreach opportunities.
Research nonprofit fundraising strategies and recommend ideas that may support GlowUp ACS’s growth.
Collaborate with team members on fundraising projects and organizational priorities.

What You’ll Need

Interest in nonprofit fundraising, development, communications, business, or a related area.
Strong research, writing, organization, and communication skills.
Comfortable working independently and managing assigned tasks in a remote environment.
Attention to detail and willingness to learn new systems and processes.
Reliable computer/laptop, stable internet connection, and webcam/microphone for meetings.
Previous fundraising experience is helpful but not required.
