The Faculty-to-Student Mentoring Program is seeking a graduate intern. We currently serve 130+ undergraduate students across the statewide system with over 50 faculty serving as mentors in the program. We match undergraduate students with faculty mentors for the purpose of academic exploration, career development, and connections to social supports at USU. This position would be heavily involved in the administration side of the mentoring program – updating the mentoring handbook, organizing material for faculty mentors, and a chance for publications on student mentorship.

Here is a list of planned activities

-CITI training for IRB purposes and added to approved IRB mentoring protocol

-Qualitative analysis of student feedback in our recent qualitative study

-Search for state/federal grants to help sustain the program

-Present at national conferences – NASPA and New Mexico Mentoring Institute

-Update handbook on mentoring

-Re-imagine the Canvas shell course to include a Google Doc/other method for housing mentoring materials

-Participation in peer-reviewed articles for publication
