Position: Member Services Lead

Wage: $18.87 to $21.69 per hour (Compensation is determined based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications, with most new hires starting between the minimum and midpoint of the posted wage range)

Hours: Part-Time, Up to 25 hours per week- Weekend availability required

Location: Tacoma Center YMCA, Tacoma, WA

 

As a Member Services Lead, you will be responsible for playing an important role in connecting members with programs and activities that will help them achieve their goals. You will also assist people in the membership and program enrollment process and help oversee the daily functions of the facility/programs and provide leadership and guidance to other Member Engagement staff.

 

Qualifications:

  • You are committed to valuing and promoting diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
  • Minimum of three years of leadership in customer service, sales or related environment.
  • You know how to give great customer service in a fast-paced environment.
  • You are a great multi-tasker and problem solver.
  • You have excellent written and oral skills.
  • You are comfortable with computers and office equipment.
  • You are proactive and know how to get things done.
  • You have a positive attitude and previous experience with diverse populations.
  • Must be able to pass Background and Reference checks (in accordance with the WA State Fair Chance Act).
  • Committed to valuing and promoting diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
  • Able and willing to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day, and other online and in-person training as required.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist members and guests with information about our membership programs
  • Support new member enrollment
  • Manage administrative, engagement and membership processes and systems
  • Assist with class registration
