Legal Assistant

Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson, LLP has spent more than 50 years partnering with cities, counties, school districts, and other public entities to support essential government services through effective legal representation and revenue-recovery solutions. We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Legal Assistant to support the operations of our Beaumont office and help ensure the efficient delivery of services to our clients.

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Legal Assistant to provide administrative and operational support in a fast-paced professional environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to attorneys and office staff.
  • Prepare, review, organize, and maintain legal and business-related documents.
  • Conduct research and gather information to support projects and assignments.
  • Maintain accurate records and databases.
  • Coordinate communications with clients, vendors, and external contacts.
  • Respond to inquiries by phone, email, and in person professionally.
  • Schedule meetings, appointments, and business activities.
  • Assist with document management, filing, scanning, and record retention.
  • Track deadlines and support special projects as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree, paralegal certificate, or related education preferred. Prior legal, administrative, customer service, or office experience preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and Microsoft Office skills required.

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods. Occasional local travel may be required. Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
