At Piedmont Airlines, our strength is the way we deliver industry leading service to our customers and airline partners. To continue our standard of excellence, Piedmont is seeking a motivated, reliable professional to join our team as a Leave Administrator I in our Benefits Department. The primary responsibility of the position is to assist in the administering of benefit programs with an emphasis on the paid time off (PTO) and Leave of Absence programs. The successful candidate will have strong customer service and communication skills. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Absence and Disability.

 

Essential Duties:

Assist with routine audits in Workday

Serve as a resource for team members needing guidance on PTO and leave related questions

Work to resolve PTO related issues to ensure a positive team member experience

Build and maintain good relationships with management and team members

Aid in the distribution of required mailings

 

Job Qualifications and Competencies:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Prior experience with Microsoft Office

Ability to work independently and meet specified deadlines

Ability to work well with all levels of management and support staff

Strong customer service skills

Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitive information with the appropriate discretion

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Degree in Business, Human Resources, or another related field

Workday Human Resources Information System (HRIS) experience

Prior experience with collective bargaining agreements

Experience with employee PTO and leave of absence programs

Working knowledge of Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) regulation and administration

 

Work Environment:

Standard office environment, use of telephones, computers, and other office

Some travel required

 

Physical Requirements:

Occasional lifting up to 25lbs

Employment is contingent upon a clear driving record, 10-year Criminal History Records Check, and drug screen as required. We also require proof of high school or GED completion. Minimum 18 years of age.

 

Benefit package includes paid training, holiday pay, 401(k), vacation, and family travel on the American Airlines network.  Medical and dental available.

 

Starting Rate:

$40,000.00/Annual Salary – 51,000.00/Annual Salary (Based on locale and experience)
