Malaria No More (MNM), a global nonprofit, envisions a world where no one dies of a mosquito bite. Nearly twenty years into our mission, our work has contributed to historic progress toward this goal. Now, we’re mobilizing the political commitment, funding, and innovation required to achieve what would be one of the greatest humanitarian accomplishments—ending malaria within our generation. 

 

MNM is a global organization with an office in Washington, DC and affiliates in the United Kingdom and Japan. A majority of our staff work remotely. 

 

Position Overview  

Malaria No More (MNM) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Policy & Advocacy Intern to support the organization’s Policy & Advocacy team. The intern will contribute to MNM’s efforts to advance policies and investments that accelerate progress toward ending malaria by supporting policy research and analysis, stakeholder engagement, and the development of advocacy materials. The ideal candidate has a strong interest in global health and public policy, excellent research and writing skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. 

 

Qualifications  

  • Recent BS/BA graduate or current graduate student in public health, global health, health policy, international relations, public policy, political science, or a related field. 
  • Strong interest in U.S. policy, advocacy, global health, and Malaria No More’s mission to end malaria. 
  • Excellent research, analytical, writing, and communication skills. 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team and engage professionally with a variety of stakeholders. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams). 

 

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Support the Policy & Advocacy team in advancing Malaria No More’s advocacy strategy and priorities. 
  • Conduct research on U.S. and global policy developments related to malaria and global health. 
  • Assist in developing advocacy materials, including briefing documents, fact sheets, presentations, and other written resources. 
  • Support congressional outreach, stakeholder engagement, and advocacy campaigns. 
  • Support meetings, events, and advocacy-related activities. 
  • Provide administrative and project support to the Policy & Advocacy team as needed. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
