Description:

Integrate NYS English Language Arts concepts and standards in support of CTE programs. The successful candidate will have excellent content knowledge, superior interpersonal relationship building skills, a strong work ethic and an easy-going personality. This position requires a teacher who is able to co-plan, co-instruct and co-assess student learning with CTE teachers, the ability to learn CTE content and skills, ability to work as a member of a team, ability to develop and adhere to a schedule, and the ability to relate to students. If the chosen candidate has a master’s in English, candidate may be expected to teach college level classes in one or more programs. The successful candidate will work in concert with others to complete the NYS CTE program approval/re-approval process, attend CTE advisory committee meetings align program content to ELA standards, support CTE program routine, grading practices, behavioral and academic expectations; participation in district initiatives, extracurricular activities and other duties as assigned by the building principal.

Salary: $45,600 as per UBTA salary schedule

Qualifications:

NYS Certification to teach English Language Arts to students grade 9-12
