Health Educator (AmeriCorps)
As a Health Educator with BAYAC AmeriCorps, you will support student wellness, health education, and youth leadership development at school-based health centers throughout the Bay Area. AmeriCorps Members serving in this role will help promote healthy lifestyles, mental wellness, and access to health resources while empowering young people to become leaders in their school communities.
Members will facilitate peer health education programs, conduct wellness outreach, support school-wide health initiatives, and provide individualized health coaching to students.

Responsibilities
- Facilitate Peer Health Education programs and support student peer educators in leadership development
- Deliver classroom presentations regarding mental health, wellness services, and healthy lifestyle choices
- Conduct school and community outreach activities focused on health and wellness topics
- Plan and participate in large-scale campus wellness events and awareness campaigns
- Develop and distribute health education outreach and teaching materials
- Provide one-on-one coaching related to nutrition, physical fitness, and healthy lifestyle habits
- Build positive relationships with students and connect them to supportive resources
- Collaborate with school staff, health center staff, and community partners to promote student well-being
- Support health education programming and student engagement initiatives
- Participate in trainings, meetings, and professional development opportunities

- UCSF School-Based Health Clinics – Oakland, CA (pending placement opportunities)
