About the Role

Engel & Völkers Tampa Downtown is seeking polished, dependable, and energetic Front Desk Concierges and Real Estate Operations Interns to manage our retail office presence and elevate the experience for our clients and Real Estate Advisors.

As the first point of contact, you will be responsible for setting up and resetting our physical storefront, welcoming walk-in guests, delivering luxury hospitality, and providing key on-site administrative support to free up our core staff.

Because we represent a global luxury brand and serve a diverse international clientele, we are actively seeking candidates with multilingual skills—specifically speakers of Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Arabic, or Mandarin.

Looking for an internship? This role offers students and early-career professionals direct exposure to a luxury real estate brokerage environment, international client interactions, and day-to-day business operations. We are happy to work with academic institutions for course credit.

Key Responsibilities

1. Shop Setup & Physical Maintenance

Daily Open/Reset: Open and unlock the shop on schedule; move exterior furniture, signage, and display items out in the morning and back inside at closing.

Presentation & Light Cleaning: Keep the front lobby, desk area, conference rooms, and hospitality bar immaculate and presentation-ready throughout the day.

Vendor & Supply Receiving: Receive packages, restock office and hospitality supplies, and assist with minor on-site vendor visits.

2. Guest Greeting & Luxury Hospitality

First Impressions: Warmly greet all walk-in guests, prospective clients, and visiting vendors as the face of Engel & Völkers Tampa Downtown.

Hospitality: Offer and prepare beverages for client meetings and ensure guests feel welcomed and attended to while waiting.

Multilingual Client Greeting: Assist international or non-English-speaking clients warmly and bridge initial communication gaps in your native or secondary language when applicable.

Call Handling: Answer incoming main-line phone inquiries and transfer calls or log messages accurately.

3. In-Person Advisor & Operations Support

Key Drops & Packages: Securely log and transfer keys, lockboxes, and sensitive documents between clients and Advisors.

Closing & Event Support: Assist with setup for in-person closing meetings, team gatherings, or shop events.

Administrative Operations: Assist staff with light data entry, marketing collateral organization, and general front-office tasks.

Qualifications & Physical Demands

Multilingual Skills (Strongly Preferred): Proficiency or fluency in one or more of the following languages: Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Arabic, or Mandarin.

Punctual & Reliable: High commitment to opening and closing the shop on time.

Hospitality Mindset: Exceptionally friendly, professional demeanor with strong verbal communication skills.

Physical Capability: Able to regularly lift, push, and move exterior shop furniture (tables, chairs, heavy display boards) daily. (Must be able to lift 40lbs).

Professional Appearance: Attire and presentation aligned with a premium luxury brand.

Flexible Availability: Ability to work specific weekday blocks (10 AM–7 PM shift coverage) or Saturday shifts (11 AM–4 PM).

For Interns: Current enrollment in or recent completion of a degree program in Business, Communications, Marketing, Real Estate, International Business, Foreign Languages, or Hospitality (preferred, not required).
