Job Summary

We’re seeking an energetic, organized, and patient-centered Front Desk Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our clinic. In this role you’ll manage front-desk operations, scheduling in ChiroTouch, incoming calls, and new-patient intake—delivering a consistently professional experience in a fast-paced, team-based environment.

Position Details

  • Job type: Full-time, 30-40 hours per week
  • Pay range: $18.00 to $24.00 DOE
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, varied schedule 
  • Work location: Gresham, OR

Key Responsibilities

  • Create a welcoming, professional experience for every patient (check-in/check-out, directions, questions).
  • Answer and route calls on a multi-line phone system using excellent phone etiquette.
  • Schedule new and follow-up appointments in ChiroTouch based on provider treatment plans.
  • Process new-patient intake: paperwork support, insurance verification, ID/insurance collection, scanning, and patient record updates in the EMR.
  • Collect payments and ensure patients are appropriately processed at the end of treatment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation: data entry, filing, chart organization, and correspondence (email/fax/mail) with strong attention to detail.
  • Support daily clinic flow by preparing the front office/waiting area for patient arrival and for the next day at close.
  • Educate patients on clinic services and help remove barriers to care (reminders, accountability, answering common questions).
  • Partner with providers and teammates to coordinate patient and clinic needs in a fast-paced environment.

 

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)
  • 2+ years of customer service experience
  • 1+ year of medical office or similar healthcare front desk experience
  • Computers and data entry; proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and/or Google Workspace
  • Experience with multi-line phone systems and strong phone etiquette
  • Strong organization, proofreading, and attention to detail; able to prioritize and multitask
  • Insurance experience: MVA, Workers’ Compensation, major medical, and Medicaid
  • Comfort discussing treatment plans, collecting co-pays/self-pay balances, and helping patients stay on schedule
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, initiative, and comfort working with some ambiguity while following established processes
  • Reliable attendance, professional appearance, and excellent interpersonal communication

Preferred

  • Associate degree
  • Experience with ChiroTouch or similar EMR/scheduling software

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Primarily front-office clinic setting; frequent sitting/standing and walking.
  • Frequent phone/computer use; ability to learn and navigate clinic systems.
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs. occasionally (files/supplies) and assist with routine office tasks.
