Job Purpose

 

Event Staff are responsible for working during events including set-up and take down and cleaning and upkeep of the physical facilities of the Center. Must be able to maintain a flexible schedule to ensure availability to work nights and weekends as needed. Position is responsible for providing customer service to citizens attending events. Must be able to maintain a flexible schedule to ensure availability to work nights and weekends as needed.

 

Part-time (no benefits) employees are scheduled based on the events scheduled at Duplin County Event Center. The number of scheduled events varies throughout the year. There are no guarantee of hours or schedules.

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

Event set-up and break down (tables, chairs, etc.). Event duties to include welcoming and assisting guests, emptying trash, concessions and bathrooms cleanliness.

 

Must be able to move tables and chairs.

 

General upkeep to include maintaining cleanliness of center including but not limited to setting up chairs, tables, stages, screens, sweeping, mopping, taking out trash both inside arena and outside to include the parking lots, pressure washing, and so forth.

 

Keep all janitorial supplies stocked; coordinate inventory needs for large events with the Manager of Facility. Clean restrooms sufficiently and appropriately ensuring that they are appropriately stocked and any trash is removed before, during, and after each event.

 

Be sure to report all incidents to the Manager in a timely manner.

 

Perform other duties as assigned which contribute to the efficient and effective operation of Duplin County Event Center regarding Food & Beverage including preparing and serving food, drinks, and or snacks as needed, Event Services such as the Ticket Booth including selling or scanning tickets, as well as assist with seating, Parking Services.

Qualifications

 

Communication and customer service skills.

 

Special Requirements

 

All employees should possess a valid North Carolina driver’s license.

All employees may be requested to perform other duties as assigned.

Must be 18 years or older
