Job Description

CEO is a Community Action Agency committed to making a positive impact by supporting our customers, colleagues, and community. Through our wide range of programs and services, CEO works to meet the diverse needs of the community we serve. CEO is seeking a Director of Marketing and Communications that is responsible for effectively communicating and promoting the mission and vision of the agency. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive marketing, communication and public relations strategy that will enhance the agency’s internal and external image and position.
  • Coordinate social media efforts, including Facebook and Twitter, to ensure regular communication with the general public.
  • Develop relationships with media representatives from all formats, including newspaper, television, and radio. Coordinate media interest and ensure regular contact with target media and appropriate response to media requests; act as the agency’s representative with the media in collaboration with the President.
  • Design and oversee production of all promotional publications for CEO, including but not limited to the following: newsletters, annual report, program brochures, handouts, promotional videos, photographs, and all other marketing material. Oversee the production of all promotional items such as banners, signage, bags, apparel, etc.
  • Oversee the direction of related agency websites as a format for communicating the agency’s image and position of CEO. Manage and update the agency Intranet site as a tool for internal communications. 
  • Ensure consistency of agency brands in all print, electronic, and other marketing formats. Assist with the photography of special activities and events that capture and promote CEO programming for communication and marketing purposes. 
  • Prepare written and oral presentations for public delivery, as directed.
  • Support the marketing and implementation of agency fundraising activities, as requested. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in communications, public relations, and marketing.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and detail oriented.
  • A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle. 
  • Authorization to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

In addition to the above, experience with website management and graphic design.
