Key Responsibilities
- Conduct door-to-door canvassing in assigned neighborhoods to inform residents about available no-cost energy programs and services
- Explain program eligibility and benefits clearly and accurately to homeowners and tenants
- Collect and record resident information and enrollment interest using program forms or tablets
- Distribute door hangers and outreach materials
- Represent GES professionally and positively in the community
- Support office tasks as needed, such as data entry, filing, appointment scheduling, or preparing outreach materials
- Communicate with Vietnamese-speaking residents in their preferred language when applicable
- Report daily outreach activity and results to the program team
Qualifications
- Upbeat, friendly, and comfortable engaging with strangers at their door
- Vietnamese language proficiency preferred (spoken and read)
- Reliable transportation to travel between canvassing locations
- Basic computer skills (email, data entry, tablet/app use)
- Comfortable walking and standing for extended periods, in varying weather
- Prior canvassing, sales, customer service, or community outreach experience a plus
- Bilingual (English/Vietnamese) strongly preferred; additional languages a plus
