About the Role
We are looking for a curious, analytical, and mission-driven Clinical Research Intern to help identify and translate clinical evidence into practical improvements for children, families, and therapists.
You will research pediatric therapy practices, clinical outcomes, emerging treatments, and models of care. You may also help evaluate outcomes across Oaklin Lane’s programs and develop evidence-based resources for families, clinicians, and The Pediatric Collective.
This is not a clinical-care position or an observational internship. You will take ownership of meaningful research projects, collaborate with clinical and business leaders, and present recommendations that can influence how care is delivered across a growing pediatric healthcare organization.
What You’ll Do
Depending on your interests and experience, projects may include:
Reviewing clinical literature related to pediatric speech, occupational, physical, and behavioral therapy
Researching evidence-based treatments, assessment tools, and models of care
Summarizing complex clinical findings for clinicians, families, and business leaders
Supporting the development of clinical outcome measures and research questions
Analyzing de-identified clinical, operational, and patient-experience data
Evaluating emerging technologies and innovations in pediatric therapy
Benchmarking clinical practices and outcomes across providers and care settings
Developing educational content for The Pediatric Collective
Supporting surveys, interviews, and other research initiatives
Helping translate research findings into practical recommendations
Presenting findings directly to clinical and company leadership
All projects will be conducted under appropriate clinical, privacy, and ethical guidelines. Interns will not provide clinical care or have unauthorized access to protected health information.

Prior clinical-research or healthcare experience is not required. We care more about intellectual curiosity, analytical rigor, strong communication, and a genuine interest in improving care for children and families.
Strong candidates will be:
Interested in pediatric health, development, or therapy
Comfortable reading and evaluating scientific literature
Strong researchers, writers, and critical thinkers
Detail-oriented and thoughtful about research quality
Able to explain complex ideas clearly
Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
Proactive, dependable, and eager to take ownership
Experience with literature reviews, statistics, research methods, or data analysis is helpful but not required.
