About the Role

As a Certified Classroom Teacher, you’ll lead a small classroom of residential students, delivering engaging, standards-based instruction while supporting their behavioral and emotional growth.

You’ll collaborate closely with our academic and clinical teams to create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Plan and deliver daily lessons in your subject area
  • Create assignments, tests, and learning activities
  • Track and assess student progress
  • Support and implement IEP goals
  • Maintain documentation (lesson plans, grades, reports)
  • Manage classroom behavior using supportive interventions
  • Supervise and guide teaching assistants
  • Participate in team meetings, training, and curriculum development

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • NH DOE Teaching Certification (required or in progress)
  • Experience teaching middle or high school preferred
  • Experience working with youth (education, coaching, counseling, etc.)
  • Passion for working with students with behavioral or emotional needs

Bonus Experience (Preferred)

  • Special education or alternative education experience
  • Background working with students with mental health or behavioral challenges
