If you’re competitive, love talking to people, and want a career in B2B sales, this is your on-ramp.

This is an outbound sales role, and you’ll be on the phone every day. If that energizes you, keep reading. If it doesn’t, this probably isn’t the right fit — and that’s okay.

About the Role

Evolv is a payments technology company that helps businesses reduce or eliminate processing fees and manage risk. As an Associate AE, you own the first conversation in every deal: you find business owners, earn their attention, and book qualified consultations for our Account Executives.

For your first 90 days, this is a booking-and-qualifying role, not a closing role. You learn to sell by opening — every day, with daily coaching to sharpen your skills. And you don’t just hand off the meetings you book: you sit in on every one of them, alongside the Account Executive. That’s how you learn the next stage of the sale through experience — watching real discovery and closing conversations on the deals you started, and building the skills to become an AE yourself. Strong performers become eligible for promotion to Account Executive in as little as 90 days.

You’ll be trained from day one on NEPQ — a consultative, question-led sales method, not a pitch script — with structured coaching check-ins along the way (around Day 5, 10, 15, and 30) so you always know where you stand and what to work on next.

Earning Potential

•  Base salary: $45,000

•  Year 1 OTE: $60,000–$70,000

•  Performance bonus: uncapped — you earn on the qualified meetings you book, plus a kicker when they convert to closed deals

•  AE promotion eligibility: 90 days

This is a real base with full benefits — not a commission-only role. You get a floor to stand on while you learn, and real upside once you’re producing.

Career Path

Associate AE  →  Account Executive (eligible in 90 days)  →  Senior Account Executive

Advancement is merit-based, not tenure-based — you move up when you’re ready.

What You’ll Do

•  Make outbound calls and send emails to business owners every day

•  Run consultative conversations to understand a business’s payment situation

•  Book qualified consultations for Account Executives — meetings that meet our full qualification criteria

•  Sit in on every consultation you book, alongside the Account Executive, and shadow additional discovery and closing calls — learning the AE role through direct experience

•  Maintain your pipeline in HubSpot and meet daily activity standards

•  Receive daily manager coaching, AI-assisted call reviews, and structured feedback

Who We’re Looking For

We don’t require prior sales experience — but the right traits matter.

•  You’re a strong communicator who can hold a conversation, read a room, and get to the point

•  You’re competitive and motivated by measurable results

•  You’ve handled rejection before — in sports, retail, fundraising, anything — and came back for more

•  You have the discipline to show up and execute, even on the days you don’t feel like it

•  You’re genuinely curious about how businesses work and make money

•  You want to build a sales career, not a stepping stone to something unrelated

People who’ve competed — whether in athletics or in demanding fields like finance, accounting, or analytics — and who are making a deliberate move into sales tend to thrive here.

What You’ll Gain

Most outbound sales jobs hand you a phone and a quota. We give you a system, a coach, and a package built for a long-term hire:

•  Medical, dental, and vision coverage

•  401(k) match, FSA/HSA

•  PTO, sick leave, parental leave, disability, and life insurance

•  A structured 30-day onboarding built on the NEPQ method

•  Daily manager coaching and AI-assisted call reviews

•  A seat on every meeting you book — so you learn the full sale by doing

•  A defined, performance-based path from Associate AE to AE to Senior AE

Why Evolv

Evolv is in a deliberate growth phase, building a tiered sales organization from the ground up. You won’t be lost in a call center — you’ll know your manager, get real coaching, and see a direct line between your daily work and your paycheck. If you want to genuinely learn how to sell, this is where you start.
