Welcome New Full Members
In addition to our inaugural Junior Members, please welcome our newest full members to the Council who were inducted at our kick-off 2026-2027 Business Council Meeting. Bryan Koslow — Clarus Group LLC / Koslow CPA, Nishita Shah — Precious Shipping, and Jaryd Tomlinson — Cohn Reznick.
The Council now stands at 53 members; let’s make it a priority this year to get to know one another! Here’s a link to our directory.

Business Council Members Shine on the Board of Trustees
Please join us in congratulating Deb Clay and Stephen Gerard. Deb is the newest appointee to the Board of Trustees and has generously agreed to remain on the Business Council as well. Stephen, a former Council member, is now Chair of the Board of Trustees, making him only the second Council member to hold that role, after Jeana Piscatelli, our first Chair-turned-Trustee-Chair, now Trustee Emeritus.
In all, eight current or former Council members have served as Trustees: Gerard, Piscatelli, Clay, Paul Corliss, Raymond Klose, Gary Puma, Michelle Toto, and James Vaccaro.
The Business Council continues to provide Monmouth with outstanding business leadership.

Help Wanted!
Looking to get more involved with the Business Council? Several committees still need help!
- Calling Social Media experts: The Communication Committee needs help with leveraging social media platforms. If you have experience with social media marketing and are looking to get more involved, please reach out to Erin Moran.
- The Faculty Grant Committee is also seeking new committee members, ideally Monmouth alumni, who are passionate about elevating the quality and polish of faculty research and who bring a qualitative perspective that helps technical researchers broaden their aperture for wider audience impact. Candidates who value student participation and are eager to champion the BASIC program’s goal of strengthening the academic-industry bridge are especially encouraged to apply. Interested Council members and faculty should reach out to Jonathan Leifer to learn more about getting involved.
