The Leon Hess Business School starts the academic year with strong momentum and remains committed to preparing students through hands-on learning, professional engagement, and meaningful connections with industry.
A key area of progress is the School’s ongoing work in accreditation and continuous improvement. In September, LHBS submitted its AACSB Mid-Cycle Progress Update ahead of schedule, highlighting achievements in assurance of learning, curriculum improvement, faculty engagement, societal impact, and student success.
LHBS is also moving forward with the redesign of its MBA program. Following a comprehensive review and faculty approval of a new structure, departments have begun developing new core courses. The redesigned program will offer greater flexibility, stronger alignment with market and student needs, stackable certificates, and expanded hands-on learning opportunities.
Experiential learning remains a top priority for the School. Programs such as Hawk Capital, the Center for Entrepreneurship, and the Kislak Real Estate Institute give LHBS students opportunities to apply what they learn in the classroom to real business situations. Hawk Capital, Monmouth University’s Student Managed Investment Fund, managed approximately $1.4 million in assets as of September 2026 and gives students practical experience in security analysis, valuation, portfolio management, and investment decision-making.
We are especially grateful for the Business Council’s partnership in creating valuable opportunities for our students. Across our efforts, connection is key: linking students with real experience and business partners with future leaders. We look forward to continuing this work together and appreciate your ongoing support of the Leon Hess Business School.
