3+2 B.S. Chemistry (Advanced Chemistry)/M.S. Chemical Engineering
3+2 B.S. Chemistry (Advanced Chemistry)/M.S. Chemical Engineering
Monmouth University offers an innovative, dual-degree Chemistry and Chemical Engineering five-year program that allows students to earn their Bachelor of Science in Chemistry (Advanced Chemistry) at Monmouth University and then seamlessly transition to Stevens Institute of Technology for their Master of Science in Chemical Engineering.
At Monmouth, you’ll gain hands-on experiences working in state-of-the-art laboratories, collaborate as an undergraduate student on faculty-led research projects, and learn from a curriculum certified by the American Chemical Society—giving you an edge as you head into graduate school and your future career.
After completing year three of your undergraduate work at Monmouth, you will progress to enroll in graduate coursework at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey in the summer prior to your fourth year in the program. The waterfront campus overlooking the New York City skyline is just one hour away from the coastal campus of Monmouth University. Once the fourth year is completed at Stevens, Monmouth University will award a B.S. in Chemistry.

Important Financial Aid Notes
Monmouth encourages you to contact the Financial Office with any questions you may have. They may be reached at: 732-571-3463 or finaid@monmouth.edu.
- Scholarships and grants awarded for undergraduate study may only be applied to your undergraduate degree program during the three years of enrollment at Monmouth University. All undergraduate awards will not continue once you enter your graduate program.
- Financial aid for graduate students is different, and we encourage you to work directly with the Financial Aid Office at Stevens Institute of Technology to plan for financing your two years of graduate education.
- While enrolled at Monmouth University, summer financial aid is available via a separate application process. Typically, the aid available during the summer is limited to loans, both federal and private, but each student’s financial aid eligibility is different, and you are encouraged to consult with financial aid offices at both institutions to develop a plan based on your individual circumstances.
- During the graduate portion of your program, you will be billed at the graduate tuition rate by Stevens Institute of Technology that is in effect at the time you enroll in graduate coursework.
