The American Association for Public Opinion Research publishes Public Opinion Quarterly and promotes professional standards of conduct. The Monmouth University Polling Institute adheres to AAPOR’s standards.
The National Council on Public Polls aims to set ethical standards for pollsters and increase public knowledge about polls. NCPP publishes a useful booklet, Twenty Questions a Journalist Should Ask About Poll Results, available on its Web site.
