Cybersecurity Month

Welcome to Cybersecurity Awareness Month!

Throughout October, you’ll have access to helpful resources, tips, and activities designed to make cybersecurity personal—protecting both the University and your own digital life.

Today’s cyber threats are more targeted than ever. Attackers use AI and impersonation tactics to trick even experienced users—through email, collaboration tools, and social engineering.

During this month, we will focus on changing behavior, not just raising awareness.

What to Expect

  • Engaging content and practical tips for spotting imposters whether it’s phishing, deepfakes, or risky collaboration tools
  • Tips in emails, awareness training, and visual guides throughout campus
  • Live event! Come join us Thursday, October 9, at Edison/Erlanger lawn for free goodies, games, and fun! Be on the lookout for appearances by Human Error (“The Guy in the Robe”) and Sound Judgment! (Who are they? It might be time to catch up on some Awareness Training)
  • Win prizes throughout the month.

Stay tuned for more details and get ready to spot the imposters!

Stay Safe, Stay Secure, Cybersecurity Starts with You!
